This course is aimed at those looking for a part-time entry into the world of Ladies & Men’s Hairdressing.

This Level 3 Diploma course has all the practical elements of hairdressing and barbering training you need to become work-ready. It can be part-time, a minimum of 3 consecutive days per week, leaving you free to work the rest of the week!

After an initial induction, on day 2 you will learn the 9 Alan d foundation haircuts together with a variety of finishing techniques. Moving on, the units included in this exciting qualification are promoting and selling products and services to clients, monitoring and maintaining health and safety practice in the salon, cutting women’s hair to create a variety of looks, colouring hair to create a variety of looks, colour correction, styling and dressing hair, hairdressing consultation, support for colleagues, hair and scalp specialist services and creative hairdressing design skills.

For the final part of the course you will join our barbering class, which incorporates all the latest Barbering techniques using scissors, scissor-over-comb, clipper work & beard and moustache trimming. Client care, shampooing, blow-drying and salon protocol all form part of the course. You may choose to add wet-shaving as an extra cost option. You will receive hairdressing training on both dummy heads & live models.

The VTCT & Alan d Level 3 Diploma in Women’s Hairdressing & Barbering certificate is awarded on completion of the course.
