Are You Looking For a Hairdressing or Barbering Apprenticeship?

Alan d & Central have been training apprentice hairdressers and apprentice barbers for more than 25 years. We work with prestigious salons throughout London, the M25 area, Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk who are looking for highly motivated apprentice hairdressers and barbers right now.

Hairdressing Apprentices will learn everything from shampooing and client care, cutting and styling, setting and long hair, colouring & perming hair leading up to their End-Point-Assessment.

Barbering Apprentices will learn everything from cutting and styling hair, clipper and trimmer techniques, beard and moustache cutting and wet-shaving leading up to their End-Point-Assessment.

Whether learning Hairdressing or Barbering, they will be cutting hair on Day 2!

The Apprenticeship programme takes approximately 14 months for apprentice barbers & up to 21 months for apprentice hairdressers to achieve a Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals , whilst earning a salary of at least the National Minimum Wage.

As an apprentice hairdresser or barber, you will work full-time in a Salon or Barbershop. You will train either one day a week or follow our unique ‘weekly-block’ training where you spend one whole week in every month at our London or Ipswich Academies, followed by four weeks in your salon where your Academy training is embedded within your in-salon training programme.

You will not need GCSE’s, but must have the right attitude, a passion for the industry, be well-presented and ready to learn.

You can take a hairdressing apprenticeship or barber apprenticeship at our London and Ipswich hairdressing schools.
