CHAPTER 35:

12 MONTHS ON…

It’s some twelve months plus since I wrote my last blog & in that time certain events have taken place (including our new-look website) that have had a profound effect on me personally; not the website I hasten to add.

I reached the ripe old age of 80 at the end of October ‘24, a massive milestone in the 64 years that I’ve been involved in the best industry in the world.

Just think about it! 64 plus years ago I set out on a journey like so many other kids do today (read about it from the beginning here). Who knows what’s in store for you? Success, failure, excitement, boredom… no one knows what life will throw at you. All I can say is that the Hairdressing industry has been incredibly good to me and my family and hopefully anyone reading this feels the same.

In light of what I’ve written, I send my heartfelt thanks to all those who sent me (via Edward’s social media accounts and by telephone) best wishes on that great Tuesday just past. Our Team made such a tremendous effort in surprising me with a wonderful greeting as I came into our premises that words cannot describe how proud I am to be involved still on a daily basis at my tender age. To those whom we’ve had the privilege to train over all those years; I hope you can have as long and satisfying career as I’ve had, including the lows as well as the highs.

THANK YOU wife of nearly 60 years, Bonnie and to Edward for listening, learning & becoming the next generation of Alan d Hairdressing Education.
