Another Month of Exciting Opportunities

It’s been another month of exciting opportunities once again and with National Apprenticeship Week happening what better time than to tell you about them!

I was lucky enough to attend a Men’s Cutting Workshop at Alan d in London put on by the Fellowship of British Hairdressing. Not only was it my first visit to the London Academy (it looks just like Ipswich!) but I got to work with and learn from a really well-known hairdresser. Each section was taken with precision and I learnt some amazing new skills.

Last weekend, I had another opportunity to be on stage again at the Hairdressers Journal Salon Live exhibition. I worked really hard perfecting the look with a makeup artist over the last couple of months and the show went very well. Each time I get up on stage it makes the hard work that I put in at my salon Kinki Boutique and the Alan d Academy so worthwhile.

Who once said the harder you work the luckier you get? Well that’s how it feels. I’m really grateful to Jason at Kinki Boutique for having faith in me and giving me the opportunity to work in a great salon and allowing the time to take part in these shows and of course the Educators at Alan d in Ipswich for helping me at each stage of my training.

Who knows what the next couple of months will bring? I’ll let you know very soon,

Jess
